For Birth Control “A teledoc suggested Vienva for me and not knowing much about any BC, I went ahead and had her prescribe it. I then made the mistake of looking at these reviews and they FREAKED me out. I know everyone is different but I do think that people are more inclined to write a review after having a bad experience. So now I’ve been on it for over a month and have literally felt no changes to my body or mental health. No side affects and just a light, short 1st period. I know everyone is different but I‘ve had a positive experience so just wanna be one light in this sea of scary reviews!! Good luck :)”

If your health insurer denies your claim or treatment, you have very little time to act. Appeals to Medicare must be filed within 90 days in the most lenient states, with even shorter deadlines in some states, and many insurers and healthcare providers will turn over unpaid medical bills to collection agencies after just 60 days, the AARP

For Birth Control “PT.1 I’ve been on Vienva for almost three weeks and I can say its not as bad as I thought it’d be, I was skeptical about it because of all the bad reviews and I was scared I was going to get acne bc of it. But I would say it just get my appetite going in the morning, which I love because I deal with a lot of anxiety and I lose my appetite so much. My boobs are fuller which I’m not complaining and they’re a little sore here and there. I do experience a little cramping but it last for like 10 mins. Today I was super emotional but I can never tell if its the birth control or just the people in my house hold LMAO. But before today I was actually kinda happy which makes me happier bc I haven’t really been happy in so long. For any ladies trying this I would say to not be scared! But I will update you guys with PT.2 once I finish the first 3 months!”

For Birth Control “I’ve been on the Vienva pill for two months. I read so many reviews and was scared to take it because of all of the side effects everyone seems to have, but I decided to take it anyway. My boobs have grown a full size (from C to D), and that is the only place my body has gained weight. I will say though, they were VERY sore and sensitive everyday for about a month. Now they don’t bother me but they will be tender here and there. The pill has not made me feel nauseous or get migraines, but I will say it does make me more gassy and use the bathroom more. I went on this pill in the hopes that I would not have too many cramps when I get my period, and BOY did this pill exceed my expectations! I did not get any cramps and I bled very lightly! (I’m 19, 5’1 and weigh 125 so honestly my period would keep me bed ridden with cramps and very heavy bleeding, especially because I’m on the petite side). I overall love the pill and will continue to stay on it”

For Birth Control “So I’ve been on Vienva for 4 months now. When I barely started this birth control I was scared and I searched it up on here, and I saw the horrible reviews. So I talked my friends about it, and they told me that people are MOST likely to review when they have a bad experience with something. And it’s true, because if you’re having a good time with a medication you don’t ever consider going and reviewing it. So I decided to give it a try at least for a couple of months. The first month, I experienced moodiness and headaches & nausea. I wasn’t surprised because I was taking hormones and that’s what hormones can do. My withdrawal bleeds are shorter (3-4 days instead of 5-7) my experience has been mostly positive! You never know until you try:) I hope I helped someone who’s about to start on birth control!”

For Birth Control “The pill club prescribed me Vienva, and I have been on it for a month now. When I read these reviews last month I was honestly terrified and scared to try it because so many people had awful side effects. But let me tell you, you should give this a chance. You might react completely differently than other people on this. I have had minimal side effects, just a slight increase in acne and I’ve gained maybe a couple pounds. Other than that, I feel completely normal on this! Don’t be terrified by these reviews, you’ll be okay. I’ll come back and update in a few months if I’ve started experiencing any side effects.”

For Birth Control “I’ve been taking Vienva for 3 weeks, almost 4 and it got to the point where I was supposed to start my period. They were already irregular and I got prescribed this from the pill club because I was tired of having 2 periods a month but this is not worth it. By the time I got to the peach pills my emotions have been through the roof. I cry over the smallest things and have the worst mood swings on it. If you’re going through the pill club like I did I recommend you go to a doctor that will prescribe you the right pill. It might be good for some people but the emotional effect on this is not worth it. I would rather be pregnant at this point. It made my cramps so much worse and they were already horrible to begin with. The pill club can eat my panini.”

For Birth Control “Hello, I am going to leave an unbiased review that will be factual without any biased because it’s unfair to base it off of only personal feelings which will look very scary. I was on this for two months, this may or may not cause your feelings of negativity to sky-rocket. It did escalate my depression. It did make me more cranky and moody. It will make you cramp a bit. A bit of spotting which is normal. These are the side effects I have experienced. If it sounds scary then try a different brand but other than that you can just try to make yourself stronger mentally. I personally don’t think it’s the end of the world taking it. As for the effectiveness, it has not gotten me pregnant. It is doing an amazing job at doing what you want it to do, which is protect you from pregnancy. (a lot of people overlook and fail to acknowledge it’s effectiveness)”

For Birth Control “I have been on two previously prescribed birth control pills and it’s insane how terribly this Vienva birth control pioll has treated me. I honestly began to think everything was my fault when after actually researching the drug I saw that other women were having my problem. I have been spotting for six months straight and I am currently on a two week period. I can not describe the frustration and depression I am feeling right now. Intense migraines to the point where I can’t even open my eyes, depression, back pain, crazy emotions, insomnia. Oh yea and couldn’t even have a sex life due to the constant spotting. If by miracle I stopped for a week, I would get heavy spotting – light period for weeks after. This pill has taken away my happiness and confidence. I am in the process of being prescribed yet another and I hope all goes well.”

For Birth Control “Being in nursing school, I decided to try BC. I read the reviews but thought I would be fine. I took it in Jan. and had no symptoms but then noticed I was having severe anxiety. I had already been in nursing school for a semester before taking it and never experienced this amount of anxiety. I have always been an anxious person but never to the point of needing meds for it. I had to DROP OUT of nursing school and get on anti-anxiety meds(still on them). I stopped taking the BC after 2 months. It got so bad that I developed OCD anxiety and I have the worst intrusive thoughts that make me feel like I’m capable of doing horrible things which causes more anxiety/depression. The depression isn’t as bad anymore since stopping but it was so bad that I felt no emotion. I wasn’t excited anymore. It has been 4 months and I still don’t feel 100% but I’m a lot better. I have NEVER written a review before but felt like I needed to speak out. Please do not even try it!”

For Birth Control “So I have really bad anxiety and depression and I told my doctor this and told her I didn’t want a birth control that would make it worse and she put me on this birth control. I look up all the reviews and everyone is saying it made them depressed but I decided to try it anyways because I know medicine works differently on everyone. So I started the medicine and it made my depression and anxiety so bad I started getting suicidal and self harm thoughts which I haven’t had in awhile. I also have completely no sex drive and when orgasm was only small. I only took the medicine for 2 weeks and then I stopped it. I’ve been bleeding and spotting and I’m not on my period and I’ve been off of it for over a week. I don’t recommend you take this if you have mental health problems.”

For Birth Control “I read the reviews of Vienva prior to taking it & was very anxious. I take the pill to regulate my cycle. Negatives: I had random sharp cramps the 2nd & 3rd week of taking it, which continued while on it. The next was my fault, I read online if you skip the placebo week you’ll skip your period. I had a normal withdrawal bleed after the first pack. My next cycle was on my birthday, so I tried to skip. Every day after my birthday for 2 weeks I bled on active pills. I gave up & had a random placebo week & it stopped in a few days. I started up the pill again after & had very light on & off spotting, then ran out of pills from the 3 packs. My body wasn’t used to the pill & it was too early to skip. Positives: nails grew really long, lost & kept off 5lbs. My mood changed for the better – less anxiety, didn’t get as frustrated. My acne went from nothing to deep painful pimples here and there the first month, but afterwords it went away. Hopefully this review helps”

For Birth Control “I’ve never left a review before so hopefully this is a sign for anyone considering taking this DON’T TAKE IT. I only took if for a couple days but that was enough. I had horrible mood swings, and felt like I had PMS only 100 times worse. I had uncontrollable sobbing fits to the point where I couldn’t breathe because I was sobbing so much. I got angry at everything and everyone. I felt foggy, unmotivated, depressed, and I would constantly stare off into space. I didn’t feel like myself. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless you want really want sob all the time for no reason at all and feel like a crazy person. Before I took this I thought there was no way it was as bad as the reviews say, but oh it really is. I would rate this a negative number if I could, find a better option for birth control because there are so many and this one sucks.”

For Birth Control “Okay so let me say I was TERRIFIED of starting my birth control after reading these reviews. HOWEVER I’ve been on Vienva for about a month now and I have had very few side affects. I know it is still early in the adjustment process but I haven’t noticed any weight gain, my skin has actually started to clear slightly, and it hasn’t made me nauseous. I will say that I’ve been a bit bloated and my boobs are a little tender (and slightly bigger which is a win in my book) but nothing to bad. I promise you people are more likely to leave reviews when things are bad so I wanted to make sure and say how happy I’ve been thus far with this bc.”

For Birth Control “This Vienva birth control has been great for me. I’ve taken Aviane which is the brand name for a year and I’ve been on Vienva for 7 years. I started taking birth control when I was 15 due to missed periods and horrible cramping. I took Lo Loestrin FE at first, that was awful for me the hormones weren’t strong enough. Then my doctor put me on this and it’s wonderful. The only side effect I ever had and only twice was horrible vomiting when I forgot to take a pill for more than 12 hours. That has not happened since and I’ve taken the pill everyday at the same time for at least two year now with no mistakes. Please note that EVERY WOMAN IS DIFFERENT. So many people on here are saying this is a horrible medication and it is not. It’s what works for you.”

For Birth Control “Only pill I’ve ever been on. I have been taking it since November 2017. 4+ years on it and I can say I love it! My skin type went from combination to normal and it helped to clear it up significantly. In terms of my period, it kept my already regular period regular and even shortened it by a day or two. In terms of mood/anxiety… the pill stabilized my mood tenfold, I definitely have had depressive episodes the past 4 years, but I wouldn’t blame this pill for it. With my sex drive, it’s been great. For me that’s really dependent on my mental state so that’s that. For weight gain/loss — I have maintained the same weight since and I never saw big physical changes except maybe in my chest size. Find a pill that works for you! You’re doing the right thing looking up reviews and trying things out. My friends have changed multiple types and I’ve stayed on the one, every body’s different! I liked this because my body does and it’s low estrogen levels. Good luck! XO”

For Birth Control “Started this pill at the end of 2020 so it’s been about 4 months. I don’t really notice any side effects of it. Before I started it, I used to have bad depressive episodes and I still do but somehow I think it lessens once I took it. Period cramps used to be really painful for me before but now it’s pretty much nonexistent. The first month or so was me adjusting so I still felt some cramps, not anymore. My flow is also much lighter and lasts for less amount of days. It used to last 7 days, now it’s about 3-4 days. I also don’t notice weight gain or more acne breakouts that are abnormal. I’m glad it works out for me. Remember it’s different for everyone.”

For Birth Control “So I’ve been on this drug Vienva for a couple years. My pharmacy automatically switched me to this from Lutera. Pros: no weight gain, periods are regular, and I’m not pregnant. Cons: cystic acne, depression, horrible anxiety, and constipation. I’m going on a new birth control soon and crossing my fingers it won’t be worse than this one. I feel like this birth control will benefit you physically but definitely not mentally. I find it very sad how doctors do not discuss the mental impact these medications could have before prescribing them :(“

For Birth Control “I saw a lot of negative reviews but gave it a go. I had a few headaches and crying spells; however, after my body adjusted I’m completely content. Don’t be too scared and try it once your period starts. I started to wear a pad after the brown discharge (breakthrough bleeding) started, but that’s the worst as it’s gotten. Expect some bloating, do your research, and stick with what your body accepts. Stay safe”

For Birth Control “Update from May review: I really love this Vienva pill. Out of all similar ones, this one is closest to Lutera. I did have some breakthrough spotting my 1st pack due to switching from a minipill. Once I had that 7 day withdrawal bleed my body reset like the nurse said and no more bleeding on active pills. I keep my pill pack in my wallet too with this being a low dose. My periods start 2.5 days into the sugar pills and are 6 days total with my 3rd day being semiheavy to medium and the rest light flow. I do get overly tired and moody with headaches 3 days before I start my period. But no angry random mood swings all month like some pills. Skin stays mostly clear except for a couple pimples before my period. Might have lost a few pounds too. My boyfriend and I both love that my sex drive is up and that this pill has given me pregnancy protection. This pill is worth a fair shot. If a pill doesn’t agree with you after 2-3 months, call your ob and switch. I have been thru this many times myself.”

For Birth Control “I started using this pill about 2 months ago. I’ve only used birth control this time and another time about 2 years ago. The first time was fine I didn’t have any side effects whats so ever (but then again it was a different pill) so I decided to go back on the pill again. I got prescribed Vienva from the pill club. The first 2 weeks of taking it I would wake up every morning with extreme nausea, my moods swings starting getting really bad and starting affecting my relationship. I felt like I was starting to get depressed. Last night I got an overwhelming feeling of sadness out of NO WHERE and starting crying uncontrollably sobbing in the shower. I’ve NEVER done that before and that for me was the last straw. I’m not pregnant no it works I guess”

“I read the reviews of Vienva prior to taking it & was very anxious.

“I’ve never left a review before so hopefully this is a sign for anyone considering taking this DON’T TAKE IT.

“Okay so let me say I was TERRIFIED of starting my birth control after reading these reviews.

“This Vienva birth control has been great for me.

“Only pill I’ve ever been on. Good luck! XO”

“Started this pill at the end of 2020 so it’s been about 4 months.

“I’ve been on this birth control for a year I got prescribed Lutera and Vienva is the generic brand I got . I love it, it helped with my acne and I didn’t get any side effects. Its time for my yearly renewal and I’m 100% going to get the same one I highly recommend it.”

“So I’ve been on this drug Vienva for a couple years.

“I saw a lot of negative reviews but gave it a go. Stay safe”

“Update from May review: I really love this Vienva pill.

“I started using this pill about 2 months ago.

“I am 19 years old and this is my first time using birth control. I was nervous because some friends of mine have had horror stories about birth control, but I guess I got extremely lucky because this has worked perfectly for me. No terrible mood swings, my periods have been regular, my skin is clear, normal blood pressure, no crazy weight gain, and I have not gotten pregnant, yes! (I have been taking this pill for around 9 months now.)”

I wanted to write a review on this after I had finished 3 packs and so I could maybe help someone. And I am glad to say I am very satisfied. Vienva was not my first birth control. I first started on Syeda and that was the worst experience of my life. I didn’t even get through 2 weeks and it ended up destroying all my relationships. I stopped taking birth control completely after that and then trie.

Most voted negative review

My insurance company switched me from Orsythia to Vienva without notifying me, so I took it for the first week thinking they had the same ingredients. Within the first week my boobs shrank, I was nauseous all the time, I was eating like crazy, and I got cystic acne all over my face (again). Orsythia has been the only bc in 6 years that has worked for me since I went from LoEstrin(discontinued). I .

This birth control was first one (I am 22 yo). The 1-2 weeks I was ready to give up, but everyone told me to stick it out and let me body adjust. My anxiety was severely heightened, and I was experiencing depression symptoms (insomnia, anhedonia, irritability, guilt mood swings, etc), but before I knew it, those symptoms completely faded away. I haven’t experienced any side effects besides those, and they only lasted a couple weeks. I haven’t noticed much change in my body besides that my period s are much much lighter & less painful. My advice is: if you have just started this BC and you’re experiencing similar symptoms, give it a couple more weeks and give your mind and body some time to adjust. Read More Read Less

i’ve been on vienva for about 8 months and i love it. when i first started this medication, i got the suicidal thoughts, mood swings and that’s about it. these thoughts didn’t last and neither did the mood swings. i haven’t gotten acne on this but i will say that i do have a rather pale and clear complexion to begin with. i also haven’t gotten pregnant and my periods are regular which is a huge plus. knowing when my period will come and have it come on the same day each month, is amazing and wor th trying this. my cramps have also been significantly less than they have been before i started taking vienva. this is also the only birth control i’ve been on. don’t let the horror stories scare you, as everyone is different and every medication is different and you eventually will find the one for you. I started Vienva 5 months ago and I like it. I got emotional, I retained water, and my face broke out. But my body went back to normal after about 2 months. I feel great, I do still break out, but not horribly and it’s only the first week of every pack. I haven’t got pregnant and really helped with the pain of periods, they’re now shorter and regular

I got pregnant using this birth control!! I told my ob after trying to conceive for 4 1/2 years let’s try birth control. well it worked I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant on the pill itself. My plan was to take it for about 6 months to get everything on track and back to normal so I planned to remove myself to get pregnant well after missing a period with the pill I took a test and I was pregnant. So ladies that don’t want children please be careful this is a blessing to me but might not be to you. Read More Read Less

It was effective for me while I used it – as a birth control, it works. I used it for roughly 6 months and I feel that it turned me into a shell of a person, however. My emotions went off the rails, I began to cry easily, my mood swings would be extreme, and I even became tired of this myself. I tried to wait it out however these emotional issues were really affecting my productivity and motivation to work or do anything at all. I couldn’t afford to sacrifice any more. I will say it didn’t affec t my acne, however I suspect that it caused me to lose some weight as I am at my lowest weight ever. My appetite has decreased. It helped regulate my periods really well and reduced cramping a lot. My periods are much lighter now. If it weren’t for the crazy mood swings this would have been a great long-term birth control for me. Different things work well for different people. Read More Read Less

First BC I’ve been put on because my periods have gotten terrible & I get excruciating cramps to the point I throw up. Was nervous to try it because of side effects but I’ve been on it 6 months now and it’s okay. While my periods have shortened from 7 days to 3-4 days, I still have horrible cramping. Pros is a shorter period and my skin is clear. Cons is terrible cramps still, I’m hungry all the time & I barely have any sex drive. Spoke with my dr about skipping the placebo pills in the last we ek so I won’t get one at all so giving that a try and hope it works! Definitely try it out for yourself and if it’s not for you switch. Read More Read Less

At first I loved this pill. I didn’t really experience mental side effects, my skin was glowy and I didn’t bloat. But the longer I was on it I would get nausea because I would get SO hungry even though my eating habits hadn’t changed since I started the pill. Thankfully I haven’t gained weight, maybe it just makes my metabolism faster. But I am definitely losing hair. CLUMPS fall out in the shower. I’ve also noticed increased irritability and got cystic acne for the first time. Needless to say I ‘ll probably be switching off of this soon. Read More Read Less

I was really scared to take any kind of bc pills because I’ve heard all of the scary side affects. I have endometriosis, really bad painful periods, and am “active” every now and then. I wasn’t prescribed these pills, my boyfriends aunt gave me hers because she’s getting a hysterectomy. She told me just to try them and see. What I did notice is I do get a little more acne the first week, but it calms down as I go through the pack. Ive always been a little emotional, so it does have a little impa ct on it, but its not to anything extreme, maybe just a little more tears lol but it’s just for like a short period, it got better over time. My periods are shorter, not as painful, I haven’t gained weight. But I’ve been trying to lose weight since before I started anyways. I’m 16, 5’2, 125 pounds. I recommend drinking lots of water to avoid water retention, it hasn’t happened to me but that’s what I was told. And to take extra vitamins like B vitamins, zinc, VC, magnesium, multivitamins, etc. Things like that. I am now prescribed to them, I haven’t gotten pregnant so that’s a plus. Everyone is different and reacts differently, but my advice is to simply try it first for at least 2-3 months, and if it’s not for you then change it. 🙂 Read More Read Less

I been on vienva for a year and I’ve never felt any of there symptoms before ,depression got bad ,I’m always crying for the smallest reason
